Low densely-growing evergreen shrubs with bristly branches and beautiful small bristly-margined, glaucous-blue leaves. Flowers (late spring to early summer) are yellow, often with darker flecks. A choice specimen plant for the woodland garden. Requires a well-drained soil. Native from 10,000 to 12,000 ft. on boulders, cliffs and crevices in a small area of SW Yunnan, China.
